Radiohead tell Miley Cyrus to grow up

Radiohead have responded to Miley Cyrus after she claimed they snubbed her at the Grammys।

The Hannah Montana star, 16, wanted to meet the band at the annual music event last month.

‘My manager asked and said, you know, “Miley, she's really obsessed and she'd really like to meet them,” and they were like, “Yeah, we don't really do that,”’ Miley said in a radio interview.

‘I left because I was so upset. I wasn't going to watch! I'd already texted all my friends, we were all freaking out. Stinkin' Radiohead! I'm going to ruin them. I'm going to tell everyone.’

Responding to the threat, Radiohead told Us Weekly: ‘When Miley grows up, she’ll learn not to have such a sense of entitlement.'

Teen turns trash to fashion in 'trashion' show

Wylie High School sophomore Ashley Brown, 16, stole the show at the Abilene Public Library "Trashion Show" Saturday.

OK, she was the only contestant. But that did not dampen the enthusiasm of those who came to watch her walk down the runway modeling not one but three outfits made of duct tape, plastic or recycled material.

Not many girls could create a change of clothing fit for a day at the office, a picnic in the park, or a social event on 5th Avenue with just a little plastic, scissors and tape. Even Cindy Crawford might have envied Ashley's ingenuity, creativity and thrift in assembling a wardrobe that probably cost her less than $10.

Meredith Adams, library assistant and a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University, did not let the lack of contestants dampen her spirit for the event. Adams organized the event after learning of similar fashion shows in Australia, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Although Adams could not enter the "trashion show," she came dressed for the occasion by wearing a dress of an old window curtain and a blouse put together with duct tape and plastic.

"This was our first event," she said enthusiastically, "but we will have them again."

Adams organized the event to bring more teens to the library, and she said she believes this is a good start.

Reanay Brown, Ashley's mother, sat beaming as Ashley modeled for the audience.

When Ashley walked in front of the audience, it didn't seem to bother her that the bags had small Target logos all over them along with ideas for reusing the bags. The list included trashcan liner, doggy duty, toiletry tote, kitty litter liner, and water balloon -- nothing about wearing them.

Ray and Peggy Gooch came to the show to watch Ashley. They cheered after she showed each outfit.

Scene is a fashion trend at the moment that seems to be very popular among kids of all ages. The main theme of this trend tends to be very bright and neon colors such as blues, greens and pinks but any bright colors will do as long as they are worn in the right ways. There are a few basics that every scene kid should have in order to be considered a follower of this trend and recreating the look is actually simple once you have these things.

Scene Style

First of all, a pair of black skinny or drain pip jeans is essential. It is best if you have more than one pair of these and if you do not, then you can always customize other jeans that you own until you can buy a pair. As well as these jeans, a cool pair of shoes is needed. For the boys this tends to be trainers such as those made by Vans and Converse and for the girls it would seem that brightly colored ballet pumps are the height of fashion. These ballet pumps also look great for the Scene style when they are brightly colored animal print patterns but plain ones will do as well.

As well as these two things, bags are important and the more customized and unique, the better. These can be adorned with various small badges for a real Emo/Scene appeal or just hand sewn with various designs for a real individual feel.
These are the basics that any Scene kid will need before it is time to move onto the hair and accessories as well as the makeup. Once you have these things, you can then move on to perfecting the style that you have adopted and making it as individual and unique as you can.

Contrary to popular belief...

HG and I did not get into a fight and decided to stop working together on I am Fashion and started our own blogs instead. (Even our mutual friends wondered about it!) We still email each other daily about the intricate details of our lives and random thoughts we have, and feel extremely empty when the other is away and has no access to the internet. When I freak out, she is the first person I call and she is still my maid of honor when I fantasize about my wedding. Our reasons for closing down I am Fashion still stands, though I do think that my later rationalization of it in this blog is a better articulation of how we feel.

As for us continuing to blog even more regularly than before, I attribute it to the "newness" of our blogs. Starting a new blog is like starting a relationship. At the beginning everything is new and exciting as you get to know the other person and watch your relationship grow and mature. Every up and every down is a significant moment. Then the honeymoon phase eventually wears off and you reach a happy medium, where your relationship becomes a part of your daily life. With any luck, you will live happily ever after in this state with a few surprises here and there to spice up the norm. If not, your relationship will wane and you grow apart, eventually deciding that you are both better off parting ways.

Clearly I'm in the honeymoon phase. We are starting to explore new things together, trying to figure out what works best for the both of us. Every new post is an adventure. Every comment and email is exciting. I want to spend every moment of everyday with it, checking on its progress i.e. stalking the traffic, the incoming and outgoing links etc. It's an exhilarating feeling that I'd almost forgotten about!

Analogy aside, it is heartwarming to read everyone's encouraging comments and to know that we were able to leave a small footprint on some people's lives.
