Scene vs Emo - Being Scene is Better

Scene vs Emo - Being Scene is Better

The scene style is taking the teen world by storm. More and more kids are ascribing to this fashion sense and lifestyle, which hinges on individual self-expression. In fact, scene seems to be overtaking emo in its popularity.

Many emo kids have even decided to change their style and become members of the scene community. One reason scene is becoming so popular is that scene kids make greater use of the internet as a means of staying connected a socially involved. Scene kids are some of the most active users of Myspace, Facebook, and Buzznet.

This helps draw new kids into the scene community and encourages new friendships to be made. The scene clothing style also seems to be more appealing to young people than the emo look. Scene kids wear bold colors and dye their hair neon shades. This is not only fun, but it’s also a great way to break free from the normal mold and express yourself. When you dress in a scene style with a scene haircut, you seem to draw attention in a crowd.

This positive reinforcement makes kids feel confident and encourages them to stick with the scene trend. In contrast, emo is frequently perceived as negative because of its emphasis on sad and painful emotions. Emo kids tend to fade into the shadows and avoid the spotlight. This is not nearly as exciting as being a scene kid, where having fun and seeking out attention are the norm.
